Hobbyists Can Do Online or Digital Scrap Booking

By Wes Waddell

The scrapbook page or layout set is a story that features a day in the life of an individual. There are only a few words that will be needed to describe what is happening when the picture can speak for itself. These are usually presented in a colorful manner that many perceive to be much better than a plain old photo display album.

Traditionally, scrapbooks were made using the imagination of the individual by hand. These days, the same things can be done on your computer or even online enabling the user to download the digital scrapbook templates to finish the scrapbook. You can even have this kind of scrapbook page posted on the web when you’re done.

Shutterfly goes up against RealBooks-Scrapbooks in a hardbound scrapbook review.

PrincessCrafts.com and ScrapbookKitsnBits.com digital scrapbooking hardbound scrapbook review images.Hi Scrapbook Friend,

Kathy and I just got our first Shutterfly.com 12×12 Hardbound Scrapbook delivered today.  We uploaded it on Sunday, July 15th, 2007 and we had it delivered today, Saturday, July 21st, 2007.

Not bad, a one week turn-a-round!

While the overall book and quality is not up to the same quality you get with RealBooks-Scrapbooks, the overall quality is good and should last many years to come if taken care of.

Read the full review at: Hardbound Scrapbook Printing Review

It’s just too detailed to put here in the BLOG, but you’ll want to read it all to see who’s the easiest to use and who’s got the best quality and prices.

Happy Digital Scrapbooking…

Kathy and Wes

Posted on July 15th, 2007 by wwaddell.
Categories: My Thoughts, Scrapbook Tips.

Hi Scrapbook Friend,

Kathy created a custom 12×12 scrapbook (21 pages plus cover) on Saturday.  We uploaded it to Shutterfly.com to test out their hardbound book scrapbook printing services.  Total cost, with shipping in the US was just over $50.00.

Want to see the project for yourself… and see out 5 grandkids?

 Here’s the link: PrincessCrafts.Shutterfly.com

Let us know what you thing… and we’ll let you know about the quality and service when we get our finished hardbound scrapbook before the end of the month.  That is if their estimates are correct.

Look for a followup article here soon on what we learned with our hardbound book scrapbook printing experiment.  We’ll also let you know how it compares with our Realbook Scrapbooks.

Happy Scrappin’

Kathy and Wes

New Kits and Elements added to PrincessCrafts Members Area

Posted on July 11th, 2007 by wwaddell.
Categories: Site Information.

Hello again Scrapbook Friend,

So, you missed out on locking in at $6.00… hope you don’t also miss out on our $7.00 per month price.  The PrincessCrafts Platinum payments option goes up again tomorrow (for anyone not already locked in), 13 July 2007 at midnight (Friday morning).

If you want to save a quick 12 bucks a year, FOR LIFE (once subscribed – your membership price never goes up – even when the sites price does), you need to get over to www.MyPrincessCrafts.com right now and take advantage of the 7 dollar monthly membership. It goes to 8 at midnight and then 9 next Friday and to 9.97 the Friday after that.

Don’t miss the boat…

Now for the site news and what Kathy’s added for our current members this week:

New Elements added to PC-ScrapbookElements.com. Kathy just added 3 new corner sets, a hanging country letters set, some paw printe animal letters and sets of Deco moons, rings, flowers and triangles.Along with that, Kathy also replaced some of the recipe cards (found in the journaling section) on the element site. Specifically, in recipe cards 2 and 3. So, you may want to take another look see there too.

Scrapbook Kits ‘N Bits: www.ScrapbookKitsnBits.com In addition to the Denim Days kits, the Hearts ‘N Flowers kits and the 4 patriotic kits, Kathy has also added an Old Wes kit in both 8.5 and 12×12 formats, plus an Old West Add-On Kit that goes with it. These are extreamly large files due to the very high resolution graphics that Kathy creates for these kits.

Dial-up users, be warned…

That’s it for now, hope you all have a great weekend and get lots of pages done.  Until next time…
